The garden assistance scheme has now been up and running successfully for 4 years with 98% of our customers being satisfied with the service. As a result the scheme will continue during 2009 unchanged with hedge trimming or grass cutting available.
We understand that as you get older, or have a disability, some of the jobs that need doing in your garden become increasingly difficult, and sometimes impossible to carry out. We recognise that, it not always possible to ask family or friends to give you the help you need. It can also be difficult to find the money to get someone to carry out these jobs for you.
The scheme is run in partnership with the Customer Forum to offer free ‘one off’ assistance to customers over 60 years old; or those with a disability that affects their ability to garden to get to grips with their garden. Our help is intended to get your garden into a manageable condition that you will find easier to maintain.
