Community Services
Community Services provides management of the Company's sheltered housing sites and the Community Alarm system.
North Devon Homes has 18 warden-linked (sheltered) housing schemes specifically designed for older people. The schemes consist of groups of flats, bungalows and bedsits, generally with resident Scheme Co-ordinators. Some have additional facilities such as common rooms, guest rooms and laundries. All sheltered homes are directly linked to Community Alarm Central Control with emergency pull-cords to summon help. The Community Alarm Service provides 24 hour cover, 365 days a year. Sheltered housing aims to provide comfortable, convenient and secure accommodation, with the additional benefit of a Scheme Co-ordinator, to older people who wish to continue to live independently.
