Community Development
By working closely with the community and our partners we will be able to ensure our customers are able to access the services they need. Working this way means we are tailoring our services to our customers, making their neighbourhood a community where they want to live.
Initiatives we are currently working on include engaging with the young people who live in our homes. Providing safe places for them to grow and experience things not normally available to them.
We work in partnership with a wide range of agencies with the community central to all projects. These projects include; children and early years, community gardens, environmental improvements, intergenerational work, helathy lifestyles and self improvement projects.
For 21/2 years we have been working in close partnership with the Forches Community Association to deliver a Big Lottery Reaching Communities project. An update on the progress of all this hard work can be found here.
Part of this work focuses on the Young People who live in Forches, Yeo Valley and Gorwell. To celebrate the successes of the young people's project the community association have produced a newsletter to showcase this work. Please click here to see this newsletter.
