North Devon Homes (NDH) are celebrating after their “Seeds for Change” project won in two of the four categories it was nominated in at this year’s National Housing Federations (NHF) ‘What we are proud of awards’; Best impact on residents and Best impact on the local community.

"Seeds for Change" is a NDH Agriculture Social Enterprise initiative working with customers in the Barnstaple area to develop community gardens from disused green spaces or overgrown unmanageable gardens. NDH took community volunteers along to the awards dinner on Wednesday 29^th June, where they presented a film about the project and addressed a large audience.

Carol Lewis, one of the members of the community who attended the awards, said “It was a great experience, inspiring and uplifting to hear everyone’s reaction to our project. Winning the awards was a really positive outcome”.
