Forches Demolition About to Commence - 10.10.2011

The first properties on the Forches Estate in Barnstaple are due to be demolished shortly as part of a £5.3m scheme to regenerate the area.

The site offices arrived last week and the protective hoardings are going up. The old PRC homes will be replaced with modern, energy efficient properties.

The first phase will see the demolition of 39 properties to be replaced with 60 new homes, of which 47 will be available to rent and 13 to buy or part own.
