PRC FAQs

Q. When will I know what is going to be done to my PRC home?
A. Each of the 8 projects will take time to complete but we are currently working on the timescales and the order of which properties need to be repaired or replaced first.
This will depend on the property age, condition, planning and a range of factors some which are beyond our control. We understand how unsettling this time is for our customers and we are hoping to have a good idea of when each property is likely to be started, what the nature of the work will be and be in a position to let you have more details in April 2009.
In the meantime we aim to come and visit all PRC customers to review your current housing need and check that we have the right details about your household.
Q. There is a lot of conflicting information going around - what do I believe?
A. We are very aware that there is an awful lot of speculation and rumour about the future of the PRC properties. We understand that this can be upsetting and worrying. Please be assured that any new information about the PRCs will come directly from North Devon Homes, usually in the form of a newsletter or a letter.
Q. I'm worried I am going to have to move out of my house or have work start on my house without much notice or involvement, could this happen?
A. You will not have to leave your home suddenly or be faced with major works on your home with only a couple of weeks notice. Whether your home is to be repaired or replaced we will come and discuss this with you and ensure that you are given plenty of time to prepare for these changes. We wil work with you to minimise any6 disruption to you and your family and provide help where necessary.
Q. How will you be keeping customers in PRC homes up to date about things?
A. If we have any new information about the PRC's before the next edition of Home News we will send all customers in PRC properties and other affected people an updated PRC newsletter or a letter to ensure you receive all the facts directly.
