Domestic Abuse Code of Good Practice

North Devon Homes is one of 17 housing associations across the South West to sign up to the Devon Housing Association’s Domestic Abuse Code of Good Practice.

This code of practice has been introduced to raise awareness of domestic abuse and improve the way in which housing associations in the South West deal with the problem. It encourages partnership working between specialist agencies and housing associations. There are clear standards to support those affected by domestic abuse and NDH have appointed a domestic abuse ‘champion’ to ensure these standards are met.

Lindsey Eastman, NDH Neighbourhood Team Leader and domestic abuse ‘champion’ said “North Devon Homes is committed to working with partners and customers to deal with the issue of domestic abuse. We are pleased to sign up to this code of good practice and hope it will lead to improvements across the South West.”
