Moving Home

If you are thinking of moving, there are a number of options open to you.

The Housing Register

NDH works closely with the North Devon District Council and other housing associations operating in the area to provide a common housing register.

This register is open to all households who have a housing need and a local connection.

Moving Further Afield

If you want to move to another part of the country, NDH can help you as we

are a member of the Housing Organisations Mobility and Exchange Services (HOMES). This national scheme enables us to nominate you to the area of your choice for re-housing. The length of time that this takes will depend on the availability of suitable accommodation in the area you have chosen.

We have a list of people from all over the country who wish to move to North Devon and it may be possible to match you with someone from that list. More details can be obtained from your Area Housing Officer.

Moving to a Smaller Home

NDH is keen to assist couples or single people living alone in family accommodation who want to move to a smaller property by offering assistance with removal expenses to a maximum of £500. If you are interested in this scheme and require further information, please contact your Area Housing Officer.
