Tenants Insurance

Your furniture, decorations and other belongings are not automatically insured against theft, fire, vandalism and flooding by your landlord. So, if you haven’t thought properly about insurance cover, have a look at our new scheme.
The insurance premiums start from a few pence a day and various payment methods are available. The cover, which will be arranged by specialist broker Jardine Lloyd Thompson Municipal Risks, will be designed to help tenants insure most of their belongings as easily as possible. The minimum value of contents a tenant will be able to insure will be £9,000, or £6,000 if they are aged over 60. The scheme will cover belongings on a “new for old” basis with no age limit and there is no excess on claims. The policy includes fire, theft, and water damage and provides substantial levels of cover on items from freezer contents to replacement locks.
