Coronavirus - Customer Update

Throughout the Government's easing of restrictions, our team's and customer's safety is our top priority throughout any decisions that are made about the changing of service delivery and offer. As we continue to adapt to the new world and possible restrictions that this may mean on services we will continually be reviewing measures in line with our risk assessments to ensure the upmost safety at all times. Inevitably there are likely to be some things that we are unable to do as quickly as we might like, but our team will be working to do whatever we can.

Services

In terms of our service offer we will still be running as full a service offer to customers that we can do safely, albeit while working from home for the majority of our staff. You can read more about this in our FAQs.

If you have an appointment booked with us, and you or a member of your family develop any symptoms of Coronavirus, please do let us know so we can rearrange for another time once you have finished self-isolation. This will help protect other customers and staff.

Our Head Office is being manned by a small team of staff for essential visits and appointments, deliveries and services that cannot be done remotely. However, all staff can be contacted as normal by phone or email and we'd encourage everyone to contact us using these methods in the first instance wherever possible. See how to contact us below.

All other services can be requested as normal although some things will be virtual and / or limited to essential visits and appointments and other non urgent issues may be deferred. Read more about what services may be affected in our FAQs.

We are looking into how we can reopen our communal spaces in our schemes and will keep customers updated as we find ways to do this safely.

Keeping our distance

We are asking all staff and customers to adhere to the 2m social distancing to help us reduce the risk. We will also continue to always use the correct Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when visiting. We will only reduce this to 1m+ in the most extreme or essential circumstances and where necessary will be putting protective measures in place.

If you have a member of our team working on a repair or service in your home, we will ask that you remain in another room while the work is carried out for your safety. This has been working well in recent weeks which customers and staff alike have valued - thank you.

How can I contact you?

Our teams are available to help you from 8.30am until 5pm Monday to Friday as normal. Outside of these hours our Out of Hours emergency service continues to operate fully and is available to customers by calling 01271 312522.

If your query is not an emergency, we would ask customers, where possible, to please email us to help keep our phone lines open and available for those customers with emergencies. For anything else please email at any time or call to speak to a colleague from our customer care team during office hours. The best way to email a specific team is as follows:

Staying safe at home

We are asking all our customers to be extra vigilant during this time as we know so many people are staying in and spending more time than may be normal in their home. Keep your household safe by taking more care with things around the home. Ensure you test your smoke alarm weekly - remember “Test it Tuesday!”, don't have bonfires in your gardens to reduce the risk of a fire, and always remember to keep noise to acceptable levels to help keep our communities as pleasant places for everyone to live in.
