NHS Covid App

We want to let our customers know that all of our front line team members will be using the NHS Covid App on their mobile devices while undertaking repairs, visits and appointments in our customers home. This will help to add an extra layer of safety and peace of mind for those with any worries about the Coronavirus spread in North Devon. If possible, we'd encourage all customers to also download and use the app to help increase it's effectiveness in tracking the virus spread locally.

We're not expecting everyone to download the app, we just want to highlight the benefits it may bring in your wider day to day life. As well as tracking whenever you may be near someone who tests positive, you can also 'check in' to local venues and businesses, check the local tier level as well as other things too. If you don't download it, it won't affect any of your NDH services.

If the app won't work on your device (it's not compatible with all devices) or you don't have a phone there is absolutely no pressure to upgrade or get one to be able to have your usual NDH service. We are also using the usual Track and Trace systems should we have any cases reported to us so would be able to inform you if you need to isolate.

The app is free and can be downloaded from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store depending on your device: https://www.nhs.uk/apps-library/nhs-covid-19

No, the app is a Government and NHS app. We are only promoting it's benefits in line with our customer and team safety.

Yes, but don't take our word for it, Kate, one of our customer volunteers said: "I downloaded the app on my Android phone, it was simple to do and only took me a couple of minutes to download. It's completely free and just gives me a bit of extra peace of mind while out and about. I use it to scan the QR codes at different venues so also saves me time writing down my details whenever I am asked by different businesses."
