Manage our homes
As a charity we are non-profit, meaning all our income that we receive from rents and charges is invested back into our homes and services. We handle day to day repairs and emergencies, undertake improvements such as new heating systems, kitchens and bathrooms and make community improvements on estates and offer an out of hours repairs service to ensure our customers are always able to get the help they need.
We also ensure our homes are safe as well as fit for living in. We manage our annual service and inspection regime in house, which includes gas servicing and alarm checks.
We work to ensure that your neighbourhood is a well-maintained, pleasant and safe place to live with our grounds maintenance programme to keep communal areas clean and tidy.
Invest in communities
We are committed to creating communities where people want to live. We believe that building strong and safe communities is as important as providing a home. We want to continuously improve the communities we work in; we do this by helping to deliver services essential to creating thriving neighbourhoods.
We run youth clubs and community groups across the area throughout the year to encourage participation and reduce loneliness in our communities. As well as this we are regularly in touch with communities to ensure they are getting all the support they need.
The work we do in the community goes further than just investing in the area. We are there to support our customers and make sure they are living happy and fulfilling lives in their homes. Whether that is a member of our youth club, their family, a customer in one of our homes or an older person living in one of our supported housing schemes.
We offer a support and alarm service, which is available to anyone living in the North Devon area. We appreciate that every one of our customers has individual needs and preferences. We take the time to get to know you and understand your needs to develop a detailed support plan that suits you.
