Mike is a chartered town planner with over 40 years of experience and knowledge of developing and maintaining high quality affordable housing, having worked both in the private and public sectors. Skilled in land development, strategic and commercial projects, asset management, project, construction and contract management, town planning and procurement.

He has held positions with Kent County Council, Shaftesbury Housing and Wimpey Homes and was Director of Property Services and then Director of Development and Home Ownership for Knightstone Housing Association (now Live West) for 16 years. At Knightstone he led on many high-profile regeneration schemes in Bristol, Weston-super-Mare and Taunton. He was also MD of Arc Homes which developed many successful housing for sale schemes. More recently he was MD of Oxford City Council’s Housing Company, senior project manager on the new Temple Quarter campus for the University of Bristol and he currently works in the Museum sector as the Senior Project Manager for the SS Great Britain Trust on their strategic capital projects.

He is Non- Executive Director of SHAL housing based in Bridgwater and Plymouth Community Homes Regeneration Company. After 8 years’ service he has recently retired from the investment committee of the Bath and Wells Diocese.
