Customer Consultation – moving to a skills based Board

Today we have launched a formal consultation with all customers around some proposals on the way that North Devon Homes will be governed in the future.

We have worked with the Customer Forum, Customer Board Members and the Customer Scrutiny panel to develop a new way in which customers can influence, inform and improve the services customers receive and help us in establishing our priorities as a business and as a landlord.

The details of the changes proposed are here. The changes to our governance and Board are being driven in part by our regulator (the Homes and Communities Agency) and will mean that Customers and Local Authority members will no longer hold an automatic right to serve on the Board of the Company.

The proposal explains the reasons why we are planning to move to skills based Board and how we would plan to do so. Your feedback on this proposal is important to us and will be considered by the Board before making a final decision at the end of March.

There are a series of events being held where you can come and find out more about the changes and how you can be involved.
