Donations help Community Centre kitchen makeover

The kitchen at Whiddon Valley Community Centre has recently benefitted from a makeover thanks to donations from Jed Mason Plumbing and James Electrics. A brand new range cooker, a fridge freezer and a dishwasher have been installed, replacing the old appliances that were in need of updating, giving the kitchen a shiny new look.

The donations help to modernise and enhance the community centre’s facilities and will benefit the local groups who regularly use the building. These improvements to the kitchen area form part of a wider project to refurbish and improve the community centre which will include new interior decorations and furnishings.

North Devon Homes Community Involvement Manager, Frances Walsh, said “We are absolutely delighted with the new equipment that has been donated to the community centre. It will make a real difference to the people who use the facility and we are extremely grateful to Jed Mason Plumbing and James Electrics for their generous contribution.”

James Electrics Small Works Manager, Gary Horsman, said “To all involved in the Whiddon Valley Community Centre, it was a great privilege to be involved in such a brilliant scheme, we are very happy that we have been able to help by providing a new range cooker and we are more than happy to help out in the future, what a lovely friendly atmosphere.”

Jed Mason said "When we were asked if we could help out with the refurbishment of the local Community Centre we were more than happy to help with the donating and fitting of a dishwasher and new fridge. We feel it is important to support our local community and hope that the new appliances help with the daily use of the centre."
