REPAIR IT at the Customer Summer Fayre

Recycle Devon’s REPAIR IT event will be back in Barnstaple on Wednesday July 26th from 11am – 3pm as part of North Devon Homes Summer Fayre at Barnstaple Rugby Club, Pottington Road, EX31 1JH.

People attending the Summer Fayre can bring along any broken electrical appliance or computer and have Andy from FIXIT (Bideford) or Dave Piers Computer Services fix it for no charge.

Please note that repairs will be carried out on a first come, first served basis so be prepared to wait and due to the limitations of time and available parts we can’t always fix everything. For safety reasons, we won’t be fixing CRT TVs or monitors or electric blankets.

Emma Croft, Re-use Project Co-ordinator at Recycle Devon, says; ‘We’re delighted to have local IT repairer, Dave Piers, and electrical repair business, FIXIT, on board for this event to offer their skill and advice to get residents’ electrical devices fixed.

Research shows that more than 75% of the small electrical items that come into recycling centres could be back up and running if they were repaired. These events are designed to help householders waste less and enable them to save money and resources by not having to replace something broken.’
